Babysitting Course
 Team One is committed to increasing the number of babysitters who are trained to the level where they are effective at being in charge of other children. Having the skills to provide a safe, secure environment is the key component to being responsible for others, or oneself when home alone.
This class is taught by professional staff with firefighting and EMT experience, and extensive experience in child development.
This course includes information and skills necessary to safely take care of children in a babysitting or short-term child care position. This is also a great safety class for any children who may need to spend time home alone.
The course is a hands-on activity-based class that includes topics such as emergency preparedness, communication skills, home safety issues, social diversity, basic business management, confidentiality and ethics, child development, and pediatric first aid and CPR.
Who should take this course? This course is ideal for preteens and teenagers who will be taking care of younger siblings or are responsible for other children.
Cost: The total cost for the 2-day program is $150.00. This fee includes the course tuition, lunch each day, textbooks, a first aid kit, State Fire Extinguisher certification and American Heart Association Pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications.
Cancellations/ Refunds:
Should a student cancel a class less than five days in advance, they will forfeit the entire course fee, but they can transfer the registration fee to another course.
